AMAT 118 | Honors Calculus I
Calculus of one variable. Limits, continuity, differentiation of algebraic functions, applications of differentiation, anti-derivatives, the definite integral, transcendental functions.Honors version of first semester calculus. Same topics as A MAT 112, but topics are covered in greater depth. This course is for students with more than average ability and more than average interest in mathematics. A MAT 118 substitutes for A MAT 112 toward the prerequisite in any course. Only one of A MAT 111, 112, 118 and T MAT 118 may be taken for credit. Prerequisite(s): three years of secondary school mathematics and permission of instructor. Offered fall semester only.
