This course addresses the fundamental principles of environmental science. Environmental issues such as sustainability and resource management are assessed from the local to global level. Ongoing themes include the impact of humans on the environment and the role of humans in prevention, preservation, conservation and restoration. The scientific method and data analysis will be emphasized. In the field-based lab, students travel to area field sites to learn about and apply the course topics.
