The course provides an overview of evolutionary biology, diversity of living organisms, and main principles of ecology and conservation biology. Topics include evolution, speciation, classification, structure and function of living organisms, population growth and regulation, and ecology. Laboratories consist of hypothesis testing, taxonomy, and field investigations. Satisfies Natural Science curriculum laboratory science requirement.
